Denise Cadet, RN, BSN, Financial Professional, came to the United States  at the age of 14 from Haiti. Denise attended Howard University where she  obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. While at Howard, she  was awarded a 10-week internship to conduct research study on HIV/AIDS  in Swaziland, Africa. Denise went on to practice nursing for the last 21  years at facilities like Howard University Hospital, the National Institute of  Health and Kaiser Permanente Hospital in the Bay Area.  

Denise saw a need for compassion care for those with terminal illnesses  and transitioned to home health and hospice nurse. During her many years  of servicing this clientele she saw firsthand how much more families suf fered because they were ill-prepared for the financial burden and devasta tion such illnesses and loss of a loved one could bring to a family. She real ized yet another gap existed in her community, that of financial knowledge  and planning. She decided to seek that knowledge for herself and her fam ily. Having been born and raised in Haiti, she was well aware of what  it is like to be unprepared and scared of what the future holds, especially  financially.  So, she decided in 2018 to learn more about financial planning  and how to best make money work for her.  

Denise was so impacted by the knowledge she gained that she felt com pelled to teach others in her community what she had learned. She has  since become a licensed financial professional as a life insurance agent as  she continues her first calling as a nurse.
